The AllianceCORE SHA-384 and SHA-512 are the latest 64-bit secure hash algorithms specified in FIPS PUB 180-2. Compared to the widely used SHA-1 secure hash algorithm they provide higher security and twice the data throughput per MHz. They are typically used in message authentication and digital signature applications, where a message or file requires tamper protection or origin authentication. The Helion Fast SHA-384/512 core has been designed to implement SHA-384 and SHA-512 in Xilinx technology for high throughput applications. These solutions are well proven in real products, extremely easy to use, and very efficiently implemented in any Xilinx technology.
