AR# 13212: 4.1i ePDCore - I cannot create another core once my ePDCore session has closed
4.1i ePDCore - I cannot create another core once my ePDCore session has closed
Keywords: ePDCore, Innoveda, recursion
General Description: I create one core module, simulate it, and close the ePDCore session. I now wish to add another core module in same design, but ePDCore is not able to generate a core for the same design; the following error message is reported:
"vdraw-E-1110: Recursion not allowed."
After I select "OK" in this message window, another message window appears:
"Run-Time Error <(Declarations), Line 821> Symbol <symbol name> not found, empty or a FUB."
Nothing happens if I click the "Continue" button in this window, and I am forced to kill the process.
This occurs if you choose a core symbol name that is the same as the design name. Changing the symbol name should fix the problem.
The 5.1i software release implements a check to prevent ePDCore from creating a symbol with the same name as the design.
