AR# 18913: 6.1i COREGen - ADPCM32, HDLC1, and HDLC32 cores are not listed as pay (licensed) cores
6.1i COREGen - ADPCM32, HDLC1, and HDLC32 cores are not listed as pay (licensed) cores
General Description: The Networking cores ADPCM32, HDLC1, and HDLC32 are displayed in COREGen as free cores. That is, they do not have the "$" listed next to them. These cores do not appear to be free cores. There is no option to generate these cores from COREGen. Also, there appears to be no information on these cores in the IP Center: http://www.xilinx.com/ipcenter/
The HDLC1 core referenced in 6.1i COREGen refers to a core originally provided by Amphion Semiconductor that is not supported in the 6.1i release. The information for this core was inadvertently published with the 6.1i release by mistake.
Two options are available: - Contact Amphion to see if you can purchase the core directly from them. - Use the Xilinx versions of the HDLC delivered through EDK with an OPB interface.
