AR# 2663: XABEL6, Foundation F1.x: EDIF netlists from XABEL in M1/F1 are encrypted.
XABEL6, Foundation F1.x: EDIF netlists from XABEL in M1/F1 are encrypted.
Keywords: netlist, encrypt, abel, edif
XABEL6 (included with Foundation F1.x) uses EDIF netlists instead of the XNF or Plusasm netlists which were used in XACT5/6. In order to provide a keyless version of the ABEL compiler, XABEL writes EDIF netlists with encrypted contents to protect the 3rd party vendor.
In order to verify the logical interpretation of the source design, you can use the .EQ3 file produced by XABEL. For a post-fit verification, the simprims-based simulation netlist can be used to verify the contents of the design.
