12.x/13.x/14.x iMPACT - Verify with Indirect Programming of my BPI Flash Fails when User Data is Present
When I do a verify with Indirect programming of my BPI flash, itfails when user data is present. I add the user data as an ELF file in the PROMGen softwareor with the iMPACT software.
Is my flash programmed correctly?
This is an issue with the verify operation and not programming. If the configuration data and user data are not concurrent, you can see this problem.
To check that the Flash is programmed correctly:
1.Boot up your system and verify if the data is correct with a system check. 2. Read back the flash and use a text editor to compare the data programmed to the data read back. Be aware that theentire flash is read back, so you might need to align the data.
This issue will be resolved in a future version of the iMPACT software.
