2012.2 Vivado, 7 Series GTX IBERT - An error occurs when sourcing from a Tcl file to create a project for defense grade devices
The following error occurs when I use the Vivado 2012.2 design tools while sourcing a Tcl script to create a project for 7 series Q devices (defense grade parts) and the 7 series GTX IBERT IP core:
ERROR:sim:879 - Part 'xq7k325t-1irf900' is not valid for component 'xilinx.com:ip:chipscope_ibert_7series_gtx:2.02.a'. ERROR:sim:918 - Could not create instance of component IBERT 7 Series GTX (ChipScope Pro - IBERT) v2.02.a. ERROR:sim:621 - Unable to create project from file '/proj/fisdata/fisusr/sandboxes/RDIRunBase/testcases/ChipScope/rodin_daily/7s eries_gtx_vivado_tc_013.000/TEST_WORK_20120620-211656_lnx64/project_1/project _1.srcs/sources_1/ip/chipscope_ibert/chipscope_ibert.xco'. ERROR: Failed to migrate project ERROR: [IP_Flow 19-98] Generation of the IP CORE failed.
This is a known issue for the Vivado 2012.2 design tools and will be fixed in the next customer release (2012.3).
To work around this issue, use the GUI to create the project and 7 series GTX IBERT core.
The Tcl flow does not work in this case.
This issue does not affect projects targeting commercial or industrial grade 7 series devices.
