Why does my core fail timing with a critical warning?
Critical warning message - [Route 35-39] The design did not meet timing requirements. Please run report_timing_summary for detailed reports.
This affects the following Video IP:
This usually happens because of the discrepancy between the clock speed of the AXI4-Lite interface, and the AXI4-Stream interface on the Video IP.
There is cross clock domain logic built into the cores, so these paths can be safely ignored using constraints. Example constraints have been put in the under the Constraints section of the Product Guides for the Video IP.
Starting with Vivado 2013.3, these constraints are provided in the XDC constraints file included with the core.
