Why do I have problems with connecting to some HDMI Sinks?
The link can fail to connect or it can drop out during run-time, causing the display to flicker.
Some of the ZCU102, ZCU106, and ZCU104 boards were released with ES versions of the TI SN65DP159 HDMI Retimer which is needed for the HDMI Transmitter Subsystem.
These ES parts have a known inter-pair skew issue that can cause link issues with some HDMI Sinks.
The TI SN65DP159 ES parts are identified by the date code on the parts. If the date code is 5B or earlier then the part is a SN65DP159 ES part.
