描述
Keywords: XABEL-CPLD, network, CPLD, software
Urgency: Standard
General Description: In order to install and run the XABEL-CPLD V6.0.0 software onto a network drive, you need to perform the following steps:
解决方案
The following assumptions will be made:
C: is the local hard drive where C:\Windows resides D: is the CDROM mounted Drive with the XABEL-CPLD V6.0.0 CD. N: is the Network Drive where the Software is to be installed.
Step 1: From a PC that has write permissions to the network drive, run D:\setup. In the XABEL-CPLD setup program, change the destination directory to point to a directory on the network drive (e.g., N:\XABEL6). Then, finish running the setup program on this PC.
(At this time you should be able to run the XABEL-CPLD software on the PC from which you executed the setup program.)
In order to enable remote PCs to run the XABEL-CPLD software from the N:\XABEL6 directory, follow the instructions below.
Step 2: Install Win32s by executing the setup program
D:\win32s\disk1\setup
Step 3: If the following directories don't exist on the remote PC, create them:
Step 4: Copy the following files from the setup PC (i.e., the PC that was used to install to the network) to the respective directories on other remote PCs.
C:\windows\asym.ini C:\windows\system\ctl3d.dll C:\windows\system\diohelp.dll C:\windows\system\hyprview.dll C:\windows\system\ctl3dv2.dll C:\windows\system\hyprfind.dll C:\windows\system\hyprview.hlp C:\windows\asym\runtime\*.* (Copy all files in this directory)
Step 5: Next, you need to modify the user registration for the XABEL6 software. Bring the file N:\XABEL6\INSTALL\XABEL.REG up in Notepad, and verify that the paths in this file are correct. If the Fitter is installed on a different drive, such as C:\XACT, modify the paths below that state
Step 6: After verifying the xabel.reg file, go to Program Manager and select File->Run for the xabel.reg file in order to update registration information.
Step 7: You have now fully installed the software so that it can run on the remote PC from the network drive. Now, create the program group and program icons:
From the program manager, select "Create A New Program Group"
