3.1i Virtex MAP - A crash occurs if a MAP message is too long (more than 6000 characters).
描述
Keywords: MAP, crash, modular, assembly, message
Urgency: Standard
General Description: Cases have been seen where MAP crashes while attempting to print a very long message. The error can occur anytime messages are printed.
解决方案
This problem is caused by a failure in the message manager when very long messages (greater than 6000 characters) are generated. Two known causes of this problem are:
1. Identical MAP constraints (RLOC, BLKNM, LOC) that are incorrectly applied to a large number of symbols will lead to a very long pack error message, causing the crash.
2. Valid Modular Design cases have been known to generate messages that were long enough to cause this crash.
This problem is scheduled to be fixed in the next major release after 3.1i, which is currently scheduled for July, 2001.
