Keywords: BX, basncsignal.c:249, Could not find a bel
General Description: A case has been seen where MAP failed with the error:
FATAL_ERROR:Ncd:basncsignal.c:249:220.127.116.11 - Could not find a bel for a signal on pin BX of comp FE/LBIF/FE_LB_ADDR_DECODE/$1I651/$1N7. Its current programmed state is : CKINV:1 DYMUX:1 DXMUX:1 F:#LUT:D=A1 G:#RAM:D=0x0000 RAMCONFIG:1SHIFT BYMUX:BY BXMUX:BX SRMUX:1 GYMUX:GXOR FXMUX:F SYNC_ATTR:ASYNC INITY:LOW FFX:#FF FFY:#FF INITX:LOW Process will terminate. To resolve this error, please consult the Answers Database and other online resources at http://support.xilinx.com
This problem occurs because MAP is packing an XOR gate into a XORCY bel using the BX input, but it is not configuring the MUXCY correctly.
This is fixed in the first major release following version 3.1i, currently scheduled for July, 2001. Meanwhile, please contact the Xilinx hotline to obtain a work-around. (You will need to provide the input netlist.)
In some cases, changing the "map -k" option back to the default value of 4 seems to resolve the error.
