You are using a deprecated Browser. Internet Explorer is no longer supported by Xilinx.
3.1i, Solaris 2.7 - I encounter the message: "Unable to start java applet. Cannot find java40.jar in your class path..."
Keywords: Install, 3.1i, Solaris, Java, applet, java40.jar, class path
After specifying the browser--as described in (Xilinx Solution 9376)-- I encounter
the following message:
"Unable to start java applet. Cannot find java40.jar in your class path..."
This message means that the environment variable CLASSPATH is already
defined, and java40.jar is not included in the CLASSPATH.
Follow the instructions below to determine if this solution applies to your case:
1. At the UNIX prompt, you type in: %set. Do you see a listing for variable CLASSPATH?
2. If so, unset this variable by typing in the following: %unsetenv CLASSPATH.
Then you need to re-set this variable to where java40.jar resides. You can
do this by typing: %sentenv CLASSPATH <path to Netscape's java40.jar>.
For more information on problems with the CLASSPATH environment variable
and java40.jar, please see (Xilinx Solution 9560).
