CPRI v8.2 - [Vivado 12-1387] No valid object(s) found for set_max_delay constraint with option '-from [get_cells -hier -filter {name =~ *cpri_i/cpri_options.cpri_i/rx_modules_I/RX_HFNSYNC_10G.rx_hfnsync_i/hfnsync_reg}]'.

描述

In Vivado 2013.4 and 2014.1 (CPRI v8.1 and 8.2), Critical warnings like the one below are received when using the IP in context.

However, the critical warning is not received when using the IP out of context.

The critical warning is as follows:

[Vivado 12-1387] No valid object(s) found for set_max_delay constraint with option '-from [get_cells -hier -filter {name =~ *cpri_i/cpri_options.cpri_i/rx_modules_I/RX_HFNSYNC_10G.rx_hfnsync_i/hfnsync_reg}]'. ["*/Source/cpri_tang/CPRI_CORE/synth/CPRI_CORE.xdc":165]

解决方案

There is a synthesis optimization happening when there is more than one CPRI slave in the design.

This will be fixed in the 2014.3 release of Vivado Design Suite.

To work around it,  set the 'KEEP_EQUIVALENT_REGISTERS' synthesis option in Vivado.

Alternatively, unlink the IP and then add the following constraints to the IP XDC:

set_property DONT_TOUCH TRUE [get_cells -hier -filter {name =~ *cpri_i/cpri_options.cpri_i/rx_modules_I/RX_HFNSYNC_10G.rx_hfnsync_i/hfnsync_reg}]
