Why does the Gamma table update every frame?
This is a known issue, that can be worked around by writing a 0 to the Gamma_Table_ Update Register (0x100).
If this register remains at 1 it will update every time a TUSER_SOF occurs.
It should also be noted that reading this register will always return a '0' which can cause a pulse to update the Gamma Table to the core.
As a result users should avoid trying to read this register.
